Crane at Disneyland

On April 4th, 1956 "Tomorrowland" opened at Disneyland. Crane was one of the sponsors of Tomorrowland. Fanciful cranes stood in a pool of water. When visitors manipulated the handles of the valves on the edge of the pool, they could make the cranes move or actuated the glittering metallic cones which were suspended in the mid-air by jets of water.

Visitors who passed over the ramp which bridged the pool found a dramatic story of Crane products and their many uses to control flow of fluids. As they continued, they viewed a spectacularly beautiful Crane bathroom.

The Crane exhibit faced the center of Tomorrowland where space ships, moon-rockets, and other marvels of the Disney imagination awed both youngsters and oldsters.
